Context
Witeboard began as a fun side project with a group of talented friends who wanted to create something exciting and useful for weekends. We noticed that more people were using whiteboards for daily collaboration at work, but existing tools were often cumbersome and overly complicated. So, we set out to create a strikingly simple, true "whiteboarding" experience—similar to how JSFiddle simplifies web development.
Solution
The key to Witeboard is zero-friction onboarding—just visit a link, and you can immediately see, draw, and share the board. No sign-ups, no installs. Simply draw your ideas and share the link with your team. We included only essential collaboration tools, like shape detection for quick, accurate drawing, a history feature for past projects, and image saving for future reference. We intentionally cut extra features to maintain speed of development and stay true to the product’s core design. Witeboard was featured as Product of the Month on Product Hunt in February 2018.
