Airbase
I worked with Airbase as their first designer, establishing their brand identity and crafting end-to-end user experience. Airbase was one of the fastest growing spend management platforms, used by top companies like Robinhood. Airbase was acquired by Paylocity in 2024.

Context
In 2017, I collaborated with Thejo Kote, founder and CEO of Airbase, to establish its initial visual language and core user experience as a freelance side project.
Our primary goal was to simplify how companies manage recurring expenses. With businesses using an average of 977 cloud apps, managing subscriptions can quickly become a logistical headache. Employees often rely on personal credit cards for reimbursements, and even company cards require constant updates as they expire. This complexity frequently leads to overspending and inefficiency.
Solution
Airbase tackles the complexity of expense management by offering virtual credit cards for employee subscriptions and a centralized dashboard to track team spending. Within a year of launch, we expanded to include physical cards and support for ACH and check payments.
Today, Airbase is one of the fastest-growing spend management platforms, trusted by leading companies like Robinhood, Segment, and Getaround. In 2024, it was acquired by Paylocity.

Thejo Kote and many more.
