Accelerate Your Microservices Development
I worked with Reign to redefine the user experience of one of the most untapped areas in design: Developer Tools. Reign simplifies the development and maintenance of distributed systems with a single unified dashboard.

Giving Dev Tools sorely needed Design Love

Why is it that developers are perhaps the people who spend the most amount of time using computers, yet the apps they use have the clunkiest user experience? This is especially true with microservices development, where engineers must manage dozens, if not hundreds of nodes and clusters in a distributed system. I worked with Reign to tackle this problem by simplifying the development and maintenance of microservices with service discovery, configuration, and leases in the cloud.

As a UI/UX Designer and a Front-end Engineer, microservices development is an area that I was very foreign to. All of the projects I've worked on in the past are projects that I am at least somewhat familiar with the workflow - social, music, education, collaboration, gaming, etc. As such, there was even greater need for me to spend an extensive amount of time on user research and gathering data from the users to figure out users' problems and current workflow.

Unfortunately, I can't share my work at Box because the projects aren't released yet. Will let you know when they launch - I promise it's awesome ;) You can also drop a line and we can chat more about my experience at Box.
